So disappointed with this new formula
I have used and lover this product for years! Since it is more expensive than an everyday shampoo, I would use this for 'special occasions', or, perhaps a day when I was feeling a bit down and needed a pick me up. I'm not very good at styling my hair, but I used to swear to my hairdresser that this shampoo made my hair so easy to manage and style. Well, not any more. As others have said, still love the fragrance, but, it doesn't lather anywhere near the same and doesn't leave my hair feeling the same silky smooth as it used to. They shop I bought it from said, oh you'll love the new formula! Hhm. Won't be buying this again until you put it back to the original.

In one simple change, 15 years of pleasure destroyed. Boom.
I have used Shampure shampoo for over 15 years. Just bought the new pack to find its been changed. Complete disaster. Aroma is terrible. Think burnt rubber. Thought it was just me till I looked on the Aveda.Com site where its clear there are many of the same view. Only gave it 1 star because there is no option for zero stars. Keep the new formulation if you want but PLEASE bring back the old. Simply bring back 1L of Shampure "classic" would be fine for us heavy and loyal users.....you don't need all the pack sizes as we can re-use smaller bottles.

Disappointing
I have used Aveda Shampur shampoo for many years and recommended it to several friends. However I have recently suffered with a dry and flaky scalp and thought I would try another of Aveda's range. However on reading customer reviews I realise that the Shampur formula has changed and I am not the only who has used Aveda for many years who is now having scalp problems. I also note that there has been no response from Aveda to customer concerns. I'm afraid I won't be ordering again until Aveda responds.

What is Aveda going to do about their many unhappy customers
Like many other reviewers I have been a happy user and great fan of Aveda's shampure for many, many years, probably 20+. It used to be a fantastic product which smelled divine and was quite simply the best shampoo I've ever used. Then, out of the blue, the formula changed quite dramatically. The lovely smell has been replaced by some chemical odour that is nowhere near as nice.. I noticed Aveda's customer service team does sometimes respond to questions but they are avoiding this one which has been posed by many in the UK and elsewhere (I noticed) like the plague: Can you please bring back the old formula? There was absolutely nothing wrong with it. Why on earth was it changed?!? Is it a cost consideration? Surely, no one on the Aveda team thought they were "improving" on the old version with this new one? I would not want to recommend the current version to anyone. Can we get an answer please? Please advise.

Don't fix what isn't broken!!
I have been using Aveda Shampure for a couple of years now. Hands down it was the best shampoo I have ever used. This inexplicably 'revised' formula loses a few stars. I have looked at the ingredients on both the old and new version and they are vastly different. I suppose this change is to use cheaper ingredients. I'm sure I'm not the only disappointed customer!! Please bring back the original formula

Formula has changed
So disappointed like other reviewers. Only just tried the new formula as I had the large bottles of the old formula ..... Aveda what have you done!!! I have been using this shampoo for almost 20 years and loved it. But not anymore. Doesn't lather up the same, my fine hair is now tangly and dry. Why change a wining formula? Will now look at other manufacturers for a replacement. Bye bye

Disappointed
New formulation for the classic shampoo and what a disappointment. Shampure used to contain morikue protein and was in a plant and flower essence base. Now it is a basic shampoo. Such a shame to change a superb quality shampoo to such an ordinary one. Can only assume this is down to cutting costs. Above and beyond shampoo used to be the logo for shampure. Not anymore!

A complete disaster
Arvada what have you done to the product? Instead of upgrading this shampoo you have just downgraded instead. This new version is just awful. It left a horrible residue on my hair and does not remove product build up. I have been using shampure for a long time now and it was perfect so gentle on my scalp and left my fine hair soft and weightless. U have ruined such a perfect product
