Dry touch but odd smell
I have pale but combo skin, so I’m always on a quest to find the perfect sunscreen. This product is very thick, almost paste-like, so it will get used up quite quickly. It didn’t pill on my skin and dried to a soft, non shiny finish very quickly. I’ve only applied a fairly light covering so far and my eyes are a little sensitive but not burning. The smell is overpowering and awful - more than just a “sunscreen” smell, it seems to have a lemony cleaner note to it. Overall, this product seems quite similar to some French premium pharmacy brands, that are usually a bit cheaper. I would expect better from a Premium brand like Clarins, so I don’t think I’ll be buying a full tube as yet, and will keep looking.

It smells awful!
The first thing I noticed was the horrific smell! The smell is so powerful and smells exactly like a toilet cleaner. I still tried it and despite the smell, it is not a special product. The texture is good and absorbs well, however it leaves a layer of sheen which gets more oily throughout the day. The smell is absolutely unbearable so no matter how good the product is, I would never buy this. You would even smell it all day if you applied to it your body which is what I did as I didn't want to waste it. It is just horrible and makes me feel sick.

Great spf
Absolutely love this spf! I have super oily skin, and this does not leave my skin greasy like a lot of spfs do. It dries down quickly and makeup sits nicely on top. I would have given 5 stars but unfortunately Clarins is not cruelty free!

Nice. Not my top 10 but id repurchase as a back up
Lovely as spf even better as primer. Theres definitely some silicons in this but its not too much. Had a bit of pilling so let it sink in a before applying makeup. It has thar Clairns smell i love but thars a selling point for me as i like fragrance. I woukd repuras an spf / primer back up

Stings your eyes, don’t buy it
I really like Claris products and have bought for years. This sunscreen is terrible though, you put it on and even if you just sit still, without sweating, it stings your eyes. Avoid it and buy something recommended by Caroline Hirons. I bought the SPF50 as well, same problem.

Stings eyes.
As soon as I stated applying this to my face, my eyes immediately turned red and started stinging. So I went over to the clarins website to just see what other people were saying over there and nearly every review was saying the same. Threw it straight in the bin.

Nice but leaves skin slightly greasy
This is a nice enough spf but it does leave my combination skin looking quite greasy and does take quite a while to sink in. I will use what i have but for the price i definitely wouldnt repurchase. I do think in general Clarins is overpriced

Pleasant sun protection
Very nice texture, quickly sinks in and doesn't leave sticky residue. Works well as a base for mineral make up. Got this as a sample and now purchased a full size product. Quite pricey for what you get, but the quality is pretty good.
