Why change formula
My son has been using the old formula for years for his red, patchy and very dry skin which was great. This new product is totally different, why not just add this new cream to your products and keep the old one as new is not always best. The new formula does not work at all. We will definitely not buy again as it's making his skin worse. So disappointed with clinique. I have been trying everywhere for stocks of the old product to no avail. Clinique obviously dont want to keep their long standing clients. Just change the packaging if you want something new that way you keep old and get new as well. My son who is 22 who I introduced would definitely not recommend.

Bring back the original
Like so many others I had been using the old Max Hydrator for many years and it was the only moisturiser that cured my rosacea. It was superb! This new product is a complete waste on money. It does not have any of the benefits of the previous version and my rosacea has returned. Please can we have the old product back. It took me years to discover a moisturiser that works and now you have withdrawn it. Clinique, you really need to get your act together on this as so many unfortunate men like myself relied on the old product for relief.

Please bring back the old maximum hydrator
I'd been using the former maximum hydrator (white cream) for years. It was very effective at soothing my skin and calming my rosacea. When I couldn't find it, Clinique staff recommended I try this product instead. There was no comparison: within 30 minutes my skin felt as if I hadn't used the moisturiser. It was not effective at soothing my skin, leaving me with red patches and rosacea flair ups. I am very disappointed. Please, clinique, bring back the old maximum hydrator product.

Great moisturizer
I see reviews about this product asking for the old Maximum Hydrator back but I think they are 2 completely different products for different skin types. I have normal / oily skin and this new Maximum Hydrator works very well. It is a great moisturizer with a great texture and as most Clinique products, it does not contain any alcohol and fragrance. The only flaw is the packaging. I would give it 5 stars if it came in a pump bottle like the Activated Water Gel for men. But I highly recommend!

Bring back the old Maximum Hydrator
Like many other reviewers, the replacement is far inferior to the old one. It doesn't feel nice when applying and also my skin doesn't feel hydrated after use. I suffer from dry skin, which the old moistureiser cleared up and kept at bay. The new one however, brought back all the old issues within a week of use! Please bring back the old cream, and get rid of this gel!

Having used Men's Maximum Hydrator for years(excellent product),to find it had been replaced by the new 72 hour hydrator. So i opted for the new one.When you first put it on the skin it feels nice and cooling but within about 30 seconds ,it feels like you haven't put anything on your face. Given it a couple of weeks using it before writing this review.All in all very disappointed.Complete waste of money.Will not buy this product again. Unfortunately there is no other cream in the men's range ,only lotions.

Please bring back the old formula
I used the previous version for many years and thought that it was a fantastic product. This new "improved" version is more "greasy" and doesn't appear to be as proficient at moisturising my face.
