Heavy and greasy, completely unsuitable for oily skin
Hugely disappointed in this product. I bought the SPF 25 version quickly because I couldn't find SPF 40 version online and had run out of moisturiser. But they are vastly different products and this is the inferior. Its heavy, greasy and wholly unpleasant on the skin, unlike the light texture of the SPF 40. The SPP 40 must still be available because Clinique is still offering samples for it, I got one with this moisturiser. When it's available again, get the SPF 40 version. The SPF 25 is entirely unsuited to anyone with oilier skin or who wants a light feeling moisturiser. Very disappointed.

Disappointed is an understatement
I was told via Clinique chat online that Superdefense spf25 was an exact replacement for the fantastic Superdense spf 20 that I'd been using for years. I put it on my Christmas list and my husband (aka Santa) bought it for me online. I'm beyond disappointed with the cream. It's caused several breakouts (I never get spots, very few as a teen) It's also a thicker cream to use and doesn't have the nice glow the previous one had. Why did Clinique change the formula? What was wrong with the spf 20 version? And where do I go now for a good day cream with spf?

Oh WOW, even, clear complexion
I was given a sample of this cream in store and oh wow. I'm 3 weeks post op and my skin has been suffering from the effects. I managed 3 applications from the sample and coincident or not I see changes. Post op I came up with a couple of big spots, they immediately started to calm down and have all but gone. The tiered dark circles under my eyes definitely look improved and my complexion looks much more even, I'm prone to red patches. I have quite thirsty skin which by the end of a day can become quite oily. But with this cream, even though I thought it felt quite thick, has not made my skin feel overly oiling by the end of the day. My make up goes on better and stays in place a lot better. Given my skin me a much need boost.

Not recommended for oily skin
I have to admit I've been really disappointed by this moisturiser. I have oily skin so purchased the version for oily skin but it just seems to make my face more oily than ever and results in all my makeup coming off within a few hours. The cream itself feels heavy, a lot heavier than any other moisturiser I've used designed for oily skin and takes a bit of massage to blend in despite me using it sparingly. On the plus side the spf is great and has provided sun protection and I do feel that it has helped to prevent aging, but due to the greasiness I have now had to stop using it on my face and now just use it as a sun screen for my chest and shoulders. I won't be using this again.

Brilliant cream!
I really like this cream. It does have a texture like sun cream however once rubbed in it absorbs into skin really well without leaving any residue. Makes my skin look radiant and it definitely looks more even toned. It has protected my skin well in this lovely weather. I also like that it is unscented and I have sensitive combination acne prone skin and this has not caused any issues such as breakouts. As I'm 39 I also need the anti aging benefits. This is fab as it meets all my skin needs. Would recommend.

Gave me spots
I purchased this cream on the advice of the online chat service after the SPF 20 Superdefense was discontinued. I had used that product for over ten years every single day and found it excellent. It moisturised my sensitive acne prone skin and never caused a break out. Unfortunately within a week of using this new version I had spots developing all over my face so it's back to the drawing board trying to find a replacement for the fabulous old Superdefense cream.

Very disappointed
I purchased this moisturizer as a replacement for the Superdefence SPF20 which has now been discontinued. I was really disappointed with this product, the moisturizer was too thick, did not absorb well into the skin and made my skin break out in spots. I have used the Superdefence SPF20 for over 10 years and it was a fantastic product. I'm really disappointed that it has been replaced with this new moisturizer that does not match to the same standard.

Will definitely be buying again!
I've been looking for an anti-age moisturiser with SPF for a while - this has not disappointed. After a couple of weeks my complexion looks clearer, brighter and the first few fine lines around my eyes are less noticeable. It is slightly sticky for the first few minutes but seems to quickly absorb after this. As someone always looking for ways to ensure my daily routine is low effort and low maintenance i'm happy to have finally found this moisturiser with SPF (a non-negotiable for me!).
