Exceeded expectations
I selected this as a sample item and am so pleased I did. I'm not sure I would have discovered it otherwise. I was sent the medium colour which initially I thought would be too dark but it's just right when you spread it out. I have used it to cover up blemishes so I'm not plastering them in concealer and foundation. I normally wear foundation every day but when I'm not out of the house all day I'll use this as foundation instead with powder on top. I feel it can make my skin breathe better, particularly when it's bad. So glad I discovered this product.

Amazing product!
I received this as a sample (medium colour) and after trying it once I ordered the large size straight away! OMG this product works wonders! I don't use it on its own as medium colour is too dark for my skin tone, but I mix half pea size of this in palm with the same amount of Effaclar Duo moisturiser - and voila! - my skin has never looked and felt better!!! Even my husband complements me every morning on the way to work on how beautiful my face looks like! He doesn't know the secret, he only says that I look very young and refreshed! This product is so cheap, yet sooo effective! I already bought this for my Mom (57 y o) and my sister (23 y o) and they both thanked me for introducing this amazing product into their lives! Highly recommended!!!

From free sample to loyal consmer
I first tried this product when I chose it as one of the free samples in a previous shopping spree. I'm so glad I picked it! When I remove my makeup at the end of the day I find my original patches of redness are almost non-existent. It really does make blemishes begin to disappear after just 1 day. It also gives good 'foundation-like' coverage and acts as a great base for my normal foundation - in fact I have no need to apply extra dabs of foundation/concealer on the blemishes I have.
I found that this application method worked best for me: 1-moisturiser, 2-primer, 3-La Roche-Posey Effaclar Duo, 4-foundation.

Effaclar BB cream
This is perfect for my oily and sensitive skin! I don’t like wearing much make up but I like a bit of coverage so this is just what I needed. It’s a nice light texture and absorbs easily. Doesn’t leave me with any greasiness or oiliness, calms my sensitivity and gives me a lovely even complexion. I use the light and it is a tiny bit dark for my pale skin but not enough for anyone to notice. So wish there was a few more colour options but I still love this. I have only had it a week and already it is one of my staple items!

Perfect coverage
I wanted something that was quick and easy to apply, didn’t look to heavy on but covered up the redness I get on my cheeks and some under eye circles. I now wouldn’t use any other product than this (day to day). It looks really natural and gives me a fresh complexion. I don’t wear it for occasions or evenings though as it is very light and tends to wear off by the end of the day, which is fine for work.

I don't think I've ever had to give anything 1 star, but this product is just... bad. I got the shade light and it is very orange. It's very difficult to blend and looks patchy, and clings to dry patches on my face. It has a weird finish when dry, and honestly my face looked better BEFORE I put this on. It seems to highlight my imperfections. (one pro is that it does smell really nice)

After buying this item last year I was hooked. For my skin it is just the right product being not too heavy. The cover is good and smooth and you just need a small amount so cost effective.

Softens And blurs

Can you sleep with this on? Or are you meant to cleanse your face before bedtime as you would when you wear makeup?

I would only recommend to use the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo[+] Unifiant 40ml
in the AM after cleansing, and I would always recommend you to cleanse and tone in the evening as well.

It might sound like a silly question, but do you apply a cream underneath this coloured moisturing cream? I don't like the idea of applying something pigmentated on top of my bare skin but two layers of fairly similar stuff would not be good..

The La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo[+] Unifiant is meant to be applied directly on the skin. This product will add a slight tint to your skin and you can apply makeup on top if you feel that it is needed.
