Overall great product
Bought the linen shade as I am fair-medium in tone but this was a little lighter than expected. Apart from that I was really pleased with the overall performance of this product. Applies easily and evenly, a little goes a long way and it dries relatively quickly which is helpful when applying other products on top. Provided a great base for eyeshadow in that it glided on much better than without the Eye Basics and stayed put for a remarkable amount of time. No irritation experienced despite having sensitive skin. I will definitely be using this in place of my previous eye base.

Bought on recommendation but not impressed enough
After high recommendations I thought I would purchase a premium branded eye primer and had heard lots about Laura Mercier. I'm early fifties, therefore I went with the one which says radiance as recommended, however I have to say that I feel it actually accentuates any lines on my eyelids - and i believe this is because of the "radiance" sort of pearlessence side of the product. The cream is lovely and light and does cover the eye area, but I have to be honest and say that I have stopped using it and don't like it much. At my age (and I've aged pretty well) you're looking for products which don't highlight any sort of creping etc, and this to me does. I can't comment on the rest of the "usual" primers in the LM range as i'm sure these would be better, but certainly I don't like this one. Hope this review helps you decide. unfortunately I shall be passing this on to a friend to try.

Make Up Staple!
I've been using this (in Flax) for years and years as an eye make up base and wouldn't be without it. The colour and texture are just right for covering any unevenness in skin tone without being too heavy. I have experimented with using my foundation but it's too heavy, wrong consistency and just not right. Make up stays fixed all day with Laura Mercier Eye Basics and enhances the colour of any eyeshadow worn.

First time purchase and will purchase again in the future. I use this as a primer and leave on the eyelids to give a brighter eye effect. Eyeshadow does no crease. I will purchase again in the future.

It’s a staple in my makeup bag
I use this daily. It keeps your eyeshadow colour true and stays on all day. I wear it 7am until 12am it’s brilliant.
I’ve tried others and this is the best.
I recommend linen or buff.

Didn’t Love this product as much as I’d like to
Hard to apply and dries fast on the lid so you have to be fast.

Very nice

This stuff is amazing!
I bought in the linen shade, apply my eyeshadow, and at the end of a busy day teaching, it's ALL still in place. I could not be happier!
