Miracle product!
I’ve never suffered with my skin, never looked after it properly but I didn’t need to. The past 2 years (at 29) I’ve constantly had spots, blackheads and just felt congested overall. I did A LOT of research into what my skin might need and the science behind it. I came across Medik8 which didn’t seem ridiculously expensive and ticked all of my boxes. I didn’t want to add too much at once into my routine so I took the plunge and purchased Crystal retinal 3, a long with the balance moisturiser. 3 weeks in and I’m still completely blown away, I haven’t had 1 spot appear since I’ve used it! Having never used vitamin A before I’ve been building up, and I’m noticing such a difference the more I use it. My chin was so bumpy and clogged with blackheads and that’s almost completely gone, my skin texture has gone back to what it used to be. So amazed, I’ve ordered the surface radiance cleanse and Vitamin C moisturiser with SPF to add to my routine and can’t wait to see the results.

Gentle but effective
I bought the Medik8 Crystal Retinal number 3 as a follow on from number 1 as I wanted to start on the absolute lowest level so that my skin would become better accustomed without any irritation. After using number 3 for awhile, my skin definitely feels smoother and more even without any sensitivity. When using any retinol/retinal product, always remember to use a good quality spf the next day to protect the skin.

Seems to have improved texture so far
It might be too soon to say for sure but I've been using this for a month now as the first Medik8 retinol I've used and have definitely noticed an improvement in the texture of my skin - it looks clearer, smoother/softer and brighter. I have some small ice pick scars as well as the start of some bags under eyes and crows feet- it hasn't eliminated any of those (I didn't expect it to) but I do feel that it has slightly plumped up my skin overall so that those features aren't as noticeable as they would be when my skin was duller. I've also got fewer blackheads but that could be because I've also started using a non-comodegenic oil. Overall I feel that it's more than just an overhyped and overpriced moisturiser, which a lot of these expensive products are. Skincare will only go so far but if you're going to splash out on a product I do really recommend this one as having had a noticeable effect

Excellent retinal serum
I have been using retinol products for almost 10 years but I have very sensitive skin so initially used the Crystal Retinal 1 and then moved onto 3. I currently only use this twice a week as that works best for my skin but will build up a tolerance and should be able to use it more frequently. Using it this way I have had no irritation, redness just smoother skin with no breakouts. I definitely noticed a difference in strength when I switched up from retinol to retinal so if your skin is sensitive start with one night a week at first then increase it very slowly. I only used retinol once a week for years but still see the benefits also spf is a must every day. Highly recommend this retinal it’s a light textured yellow coloured lotion, absorbs quickly I do need to apply a hydrating moisturiser on top otherwise it would be too drying and use it with the Medik8 advanced night cream. Highly recommended Medik8 if you are looking for retinol they have an excellent range of really effective proven products.

First impressions good, quite a few pumps needed to do face , neck and décolletage, however the next morning my face was smoothed out and plumped up, a very noticeable difference, no irritation, use twice per week and slowly build up use, very good

Great for first step into Retinal usage
Great for 1st time users of Retinal, i didn't get any of the dry skin or sensitivity you get when you first use Retinol, but i do religiously wear factor 50 face spf next tep Retinal 6 which I've ordered.

I honestly think my skin both feels and looks better within 2 weeks of using this. I am looking forward to being able to increase the strength once my skin acclimatises to using Rentinal. Great product.
