Very refreshing indeed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this every morning and it really does wake up the skin. Almost tingly with a menthol like sensation that cools (don't put it anywhere near your eyes unless you want that minty fresh breath feeling for your eyeballs). It nails the grapefruit scent and invigorates in the same way a segment of tangy citrus would. Whilst I don't find it the most moisturising, it does a great job of controlling oil and leaves an almost matte look. The salicylic acid has worked a wonder on my maskne. I think I would love to use this more in the summer months than in the winter. Very much recommend.

Wonderful
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have found the Neutrogena Refreshingly Clear Oil-Free Moisturiser to be an excellent moisturiser, with just the right level of grapefruit scent to make me feel fruity and fabulous. It leaves my skin feeling incredibly smooth and reduces my oiliness throughout the day, which has always been a big bugbear for me. When I put the moisturiser on I feel refreshed and revitalised and ready to start my day, or night's sleep! Would definitely recommend this wonderful product, particularly for anyone who suffers from unwanted oiliness in their face.

Not too great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product as a product trial. I can’t really say I like this moisturiser. I was excited as it has grapefruit fragrance but it turns out to be not so natural, it’s not too strong to be disturbing but it’s just not my favourite type of scent I would want for my moisturiser. It’s oil-free, which is a good thing, but the texture and the look of the cream itself somehow is similar to a sun screen. The cream does not feel light but still absorbs quickly, but it doesn’t leave me that satisfying feeling of a good moisturiser.

Surprisingly good!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really surprised by this as I normally use more expensive moisturiser and was dubious about it. But was pleasantly surprised. I have combination skin, so this oil-free moisturiser worked well for me, especially in the oily t-zone and oilier times of day. I felt like it sat really well on the skin and also worked well under make-up. The grapefruit smell initially put me off as reminded of household cleaner - but once I got used to it found it refreshing, especially as part of my morning routine. I think when my skin is drier I will need an oil-based moisturiser, but this would work really well in Summer and on holiday when in need of something lighter.

Overwhelmingly scented/ not moisturising
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This moisturiser has a heavy citrus scent which reminds me a lot of cleaning products. Initial I was put off by this because I tend to stare away from skincare that has an added fragrance, as it has no functional properties and usually causes more harm than good. Even hours after application I could still smell the scent on my face.
As for the moisturising claim, my skin did feel softer and smoother to the touch, however I did not feel it helped to retain the hydration in my skin. I have oily skin so I tend to use a light moisturiser anyway but this moisturiser did very little for me. In fact after about an hour my natural sebum did a better job at moisturising.

causes irritation?
i bought the face wash and the moisturiser of this after hearing so many good reviews. however, none of them mentioned it causes irritation and peeling skin??? ive had the face wash for just over a week and thought that was working well until it started to dry out my skin and cause peeling!! i then bought the moisturiser as it states on the back they work the best when used together. but the moisturiser causes inflamed skin, a tingly feeling, more spots, and doesnt help the peeling skin! i dont think ive ever been so let down by such a greatly reviewed product before.

A great light and hydrating moisturiser!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A great light and hydrating moisturiser. I find the grapefruit smell a little overpowering but overall find that it’s been very hydrating especially during these winter months when the air had been quite drying. I have oily skin so wouldn’t wear it during the summer as I don't feel it would be matt enough. It also makes my skin smooth and I haven’t had any breakouts with it. Only con is the tube design as it has a twist off lid its easy to accidentally drop and I would prefer a cap design that's attached!

Neutrogena moisturiser
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This moisturiser is great for keeping skin looking matte and also hydrating. I’ve tried some anti shine moisturisers before that worked against oil but were too harsh and I ended up with lots of dry patches. This moisturiser keeps shine at bay and keeps skin moisturised. One problem I have with the moisturiser is that is doesn’t have any SPF which is something I usually look for in a moisturiser. However, when I applied a facial SPF over the top, it didn’t separate like some others so.
