After trying my sister's I had to buy some. It gives that volume and windswept look without adding crunch and stickiness. I have quite long hair which weighs my roots down, just a couple of spritzes on my roots and I'm good to go. I don't feel like I need to wash my hair after 5 minutes and it doesn't tangle. It literally gives the look without adding product! A little goes a very long way. The reason for 4 stars on effectiveness is that I don't feel it works so well on my ends which are quite dry. I love it, I had tried loads of different products, wasted a lot of money and had sticky tangled hair for so long, and I should have gone with this from day 1.

Game changer
I have very straight, very thin blonde hair - whenever I use this, I notice a difference. At home if I don't have time to blow dry, using the surf spray gives my hair texture throughout the day. If I'm taking my time with my hair, it gives it volume without feeling like I have too much product on there. On holiday it gives my hair body and volume without having to spend time using a hot hairdryer. I can't imagine life without it!

Best product for volume and waves
This product is amazing. It produces beautiful wavy hair that lasts on my coloured and ridiculously fine and straight hair that wont hold a curl. I have used other salt sprays that do produce waves however the finished hair feels crispy and looks like it been set. Trying to comb it just produces breakage. No such problem with the Bumble and Bumble surf spray. It gives my long hair has glorious waves that last for 2 or 3 days and even better it feels soft to the touch. Even if you don't want waves this product is a god send to fine, thin hair. Just spray it on and blow dry straight for loads of volume and texture. Always shake the bottle first before use. My only gripe is the price, its expensive for a small bottle - too expensive for me to use all the time although I would love to. I save it for special occasions. In conclusion, this product does what it says and more. Highly recommend.

LOVE this!
I absolutely love this product. I recently got my hair cut into a pixie and was looking for something to style it with. This product is so easy to use-i just spray it on my damp hair and tousle a little bit. That's it! It leaves a matte finish, which is great since sometimes my hair gets a little oily (especially now that it's short!) Sometimes, it even looks ok after i've slept on it! It doesn't leave my hair crispy or sticky. Actually, after my hair dries, it doesn't even feel like i have product in it- it just feels soft and looks great. Oh, and it smells nice too! (but not perfume-y at all, so guys could totally use it!)

Best salt spray I have used
This might start off negative but please carry on reading, I love this stuff. I have medium length, poker straight fine hair with oily roots. I initially bought this to creat beach waves, I did the whole spray into damp hair and scrunch thing I also sprayed into dry hair and scrunched. Neither way worked for me. I think you probably need some natural wave to start with using this technique, I just ended up with crispy straight rat tail hair. I gave up for 6 months until someone suggested using salt spray to control my oily roots so I dug it out again. By now my hair was longer and I had started tying it up at night. So I washed my hair, sprayed it into 3/4 dry hair, twisted it into a top knot still damp and went to bed. The next morning I took the hair and out and my hair fell down in one huge spiral, it was slightly crisp and looked almost wet but I brushed it out and that went, i was left with huge huge volume. I have now figured that minimal brushing and dragging my hand throughout it to make separate curls looks amazing. Without hairspray I can start the day with hollywood curls and it will drop into beach waves after about 4 hours and if I top knot it again night at night two (without re spraying) I have beach waves all that day also. If I hairspray the initial hollywood wave I have when I first take the hair band out I can get 6 hours of good curl which if perfect for a night out with minimal work. It also does reduce my oily roots and smells great.

100% effective
I've tried quite a few different salt sprays recently because my hair is naturally very fine and straight. Bumble and Bumble salt spray is the best one I've tried so far, not only does it give me beachy waves, my hair doesn't go all clumpy (which is pretty common with a few other brands I've tried) and it doesn't weigh down my hair or make it feel/look greasy any quicker than normal. The perfect product for me

Total Game Changer.
I admit it. I have truly screwed up my hair big time. Dry, frizzy, chemically damaged from root to tip- you name it, my hair has it. So naturally I've been feeling somewhat a little "depressed" at how futile making my hair look somewhat lovely is. I don't make much money. That's apprentice life for you and honestly I bought this as a treat myself impulse- an I can say that I would gladly skip out on meals throughout the week to keep buying this. My hair- jeez, I condition and shampoo with my regular brand (cheap as) and have been applying this from root to tip every three days. Not only has my hair become softer, supple and more manageable it freakin' shines! It hasn't done that for 5 years! I woke up this morning to find it had styled itself to some sort of Jessica rabbit/little mermaid do! Seriously, just buy this- don't even think about it, just do it.

Great!
I've used a couple of different surf sprays but they have just never worked, they've left my hair oily and limp. This B&B spray is a whole new ball game! My fine limp hair can now have the effortlessly beachy wave that suits summer so well. I ordered the travel size to make sure it worked and I'll be sure to order the full size when this runs out. I've not let my hair dry naturally and down so not 100% what it would be like. It works great if you pop it in a bun and let it dry over night. Would defiantly recommend.
