Beyond Disappointed
Aromatics Elixir was my signature scent until this year. Why has it been changed? It was such a unique fragrance which had become my classic. I would rather have paid more to keep it as it was than have this poor imitation of what it once was. I cannot bring myself to wear this and sadly will have to inform friends and family never to buy this for me whenever they are stuck for a gift, as it will be returned. I see I am not the only one who has made this observation. I hope these reviews are read by Clinque and they note the loyal customers of years will be lost if they continue with what is frankly a very bad re[placement. Please bring it back.

Aromatics has changed?
My wife has used this perfume for over twenty years. I have always commented on how lovely she smells when wearing this, and in company she received many compliments. It now appears that my wife's beloved perfume has changed. I recently bought her a 100ml bottle from a different online shop and she found that it doesn't last and isn't as strong. I no longer notice that she is wearing it. She is using far greater quantities to much less effect. I then bought a further bottle direct from Clinique as we were concerned that we had been sold a fake. The new perfume is the same. To say my wife is disappoint is an understatement. Why change a proven, much loved fragrance?

Disappointed!!
What have you done to Aromatic Elixer, I have worn this perfume for 35 years, always having lovely comments from people, having read previous reviews who were complaining about it, I opened my new bottle, only to find they were right, it smells really cheap & nasty, the perfume is a considered purchase especially for me as a pensioner, my daughter bought this 100ml bottle for my birthday, for something I will not use, can she return it please. I did as you suggested by ringing customer care, they said someone would ring me back! NOT!!! So rang again...that was 3 weeks ago, still waiting ..really bad service from Clinique..not what I would expect..very disapointing...

Ive been wearing Aromatics Elixir for over 20 years and, until the last 12-18 months have always received a compliment on my fragrance. I have only ever needed to use a small spray on and it lasts and developes into a gorgeous essence. These last 12-18 monthsninhave purchased over three bottles thinking maybe the previous bottle was a replica or perhaps 'off' as the fragrance was suddenly different, less intense and almost missing a specific not.....the one that lingers and softens. So sadly this review is of disappointment and sadness that a dear and intimate friend has faded and may possibly never return...meaning I need to begin the long journey of finding another signature...boo hoo hoo:(

Why oh why have you changed this fragrance
"Why oh why have you changed the smell!!" I have been wearing AE for over 20 years and have been complimented hundreds of times on how nice I smell - but this last year things have change I purchased a bottle and too my horror it smelt disgusting - I purchased another bottle thinking I had bought a bad batch but no!! Still smelt awful - very upset please please please bring back the original smell - this would normally get 10+ stars from me but sadly no longer I received a free trial of this product.Reviewed as part of sweepstakes/contest.

OMG AWFUL
What on earth have you done to my beloved Elixir?? I used to be a consultant for Clinique but left over 2 yrs ago. I spoke with one of the other girls, who have informed me there's a problem getting the green moss!!! You really need to inform your loyal customers of this! I'm now in the process of highlighting this to everyone I know who was a devoted customer, how can you change it, but then pretend it's the same! I'm so upset, if you cared about your loyal customers you would at least inform them of the change

Can't purchase this anymore-smells different.
This has been my only perfume for 30yrs. Gifting myself a 100ml bottle every Christmas, I've decided it will be the last time I purchase it. This scent was unique and so nice to wear. People would compliment me everyday-and those who knew the smell gave a silent nod of knowing. It now smells like a cheap market perfume. No long lasting scent or mysterious tones. I'm really disappointed. Whatever ingredient removed from the formula needs returning or you may as well just end the line.

What have you done to Aromatics?
For years I've worn Aromatics and had many compliments but some time in, I think, the last couple of years it's changed. The current formulation has a smell of chemicals, a bit like some ghastly "room fragrance". I read somewhere this was because one of the basic components had been banned by the EU. If this is the case, can we hope that if there is one advantage to Brexit it will be that the missing component can be re-introduced and we can enjoy the Aromatics we used to know and love?
