I bought this to replace my Elxir Ultime. It’s much thinner in consistency, so I need to use more, and the smell isn’t as divine. It works well though, and keeps my hair soft and moisturised. I’d go back to Elixir Ultime in the future.

Great alternative to discontinued serum.
Had a total meltdown when realised that the oleo,relax serum was discontinued as is the only product that has ever tamed my thick frizzy hair. So far this seems as good if not better and like the swap from plastic to glass. Only 4 so far as early days. Kérastase please don’t discontinue this one!

Great alternative for serum
Panicked when I found the oleo relax serum was discontinued but this so far seems just as good if not better. Like reduced plastic too. Please keep making this one- can’t take the panic again! Only 4 as early days.

Nowhere near as good as Kerastase Elixir Ultime
Although this is a good product (as always with Kerastase) I didn’t find it anywhere near as good as the Elixir Ultime Original Oil. It was almost liquid in viscosity (the Elixir Ultime is thicker), although it smoothed frizz, again it wasn’t as effective as the Elixir Ultime, that controls frizz, even in humidity a day, the Oleo Relax would need to be reapplies. My hair is a shoulder length bob, naturally wavy and coarse, but I wash, blow dry and straighten my hair every day, I therefore need something more heavy duty. I find the perfect combination is to spray in Kerastase Discipline Fluidissme Spray (about 6 spays), followed by 1 pump of the Kerastase Elixir Ultime Oil into towel dried hair, blow dry and straighten. It leaves my hair straight, frizz free, smooth and soft all day. It’s never looked healthier!

I think it’s okay as an oil but doesn’t really help with my frizz. I’m also concerned because you haven’t got the ingredients listed / they’re not on the back of the bottle and after searching, the top ingredient seems to be Cyclopentasiloxane, which is banned in the EU. Please can someone confirm whether this is true?

Makes my frizzy hair feel really soft and tames it. I have super thick, frizzy and coarse hair and this really smooths it out. A little price but high quality oil, smooths hair but is still lightweight and doesn’t feel greasy. Really recommended, the bottle will last ages! So well worth it!

My hair type is wavy, medium thickness and coloured. I had frizzy, dry and unruly hair and not anymore. I use this product before blow dry. It helps remove frizz and gives a shine. Worked well for my hair type. Made my hair soft. I use this after towel dry and once again after blow dry.

My number one hair product
This by far the best best product I’ve ever used. Have been using it for 15 years, tried many others but always come back to this one otherwise my hair is unmanageable. Even when it rains it remains straight. A little goes a long way so defo worth the money!
