Bring back the old formula!
I've been testing this for over a month now and I use it daily. I love love love the original formula, as it really was the only moisturiser that kept my oilyness in control thoughout the day. However, this new formula.. YIKES. It is a lot runnier than the original formula and it has an odd smell, very SPF like or a bit citrus-like. And if you apply the moisturiser too close to your nose, you will be smelling it the whole day. I loved that the old formula didn't have such a strong smell. Also, this new formula does NOT work with any runny primer AT ALL. I always have to pat my primer and still the moisturiser moves around. The original one would not budge. All in all.. a plus for the SPF45. That's about it. Murad what did you DO????

High SPF, not as mattifying as it used to be
I preferred the old formula of this Murad Oil and Pore Control Mattifier because it worked much better at mattifying than this new formula and lasted all day. The mattifying effect doesn't last all day now. I am still suffering with greasy T Zone areas by half way through the day, whereas previously it used to last until I took my make-up off at night. It also feels thicker and more greasy when you put it on than it used to so subsequently takes longer to absorb into your skin.
That said I've continued to buy this for now because I like that it now has an SPF of 45 whereas previously it was only SPF15. Which might explain why it's less mattifying and thicker now. I would suggest not putting it around your eyes as the SPF in it now makes irritates them and makes them water. If I could find a high SPF in a mattifying cream it would be great, but so far I've not had much luck so am sticking with this.
It used to be great, now it's just OK.

Exactly as described
I have been on the search for a matte SPF since forever, the search is finally over.
Oil-free, lightweight SPF moisturiser that instantly minimises the appearance of pores, very lightweight, sinks in nicely with no white cast at all. And the best thing, matte finish!!!!!
Nothing else to say, I absolutely love it!
Although the formula has changed I actually prefer this as it gives hydration without drying but also gives me a matte finish all day. Hydrating but still being matte is a win win for me.
You do have to wait a little while and let it set before going in with makeup otherwise it can pill.
This will be my Spf for summer on days when I leave the house as it helps keep my face matte, and the best thing, my forehead is not shiny, (the bane of my life) wahay!

Does the job
Very light weight formula. When first applied it feels greasy but it blends in to a matte powdery texture which feels light on your skin. Can be used as a primer under your makeup if you have oil control issues.

I am using this product for a while now and I can feel my skin very healthy as I don't need to wear makeup. I feel so confident on my skin. I use the murad toner as well, a face serum and this moisturiser

Overpriced for what it is
Have Murad changed the formula recently? This is slightly worse than it used to be, gets peely and patchy when foundation is applied over it. Good SPF and ok when worn on its own

Very disappointed of new version! 0 oil control. Old formula was best thing ever! Please bring back old formula.
