Shampoo and conditioner
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this shampoo for a week now and have already noticed a difference in my hair. My hair feels really soft, moisturised and nourished! When I first used it, it reminded me of getting my hair washed at a salon, as they always feel and smell great on my hair. I have found that washing every second day works fine for me and it doesn't feel greasy in between washes. I only use about a 10p sized amount on my hair and find that this is enough to work into a good lather to cover all my hair. This shampoo is perfect for any brunette wanting a colour boost or just to enhance their hair!!
The shampoo smells sweet and refreshing. A little goes a long way and it lathers into the hair and scalp easily. First impressions were the packaging was professional and compact.
I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to add a shine and have silky soft hair!!
I found the shampoo gave me a lovely shine & paired with the conditioner really enhanced by colour! Paired up with the conditioner i saw a difference within the first wash.

Colour protection at it's best
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have recently dyed my hair a dark brown colour, to get rid of my grey hairs, so I thought that this product would be ideal for me. The packaging is really nice and eye-catching. The colour of the shampoo looks very luxurious. When applying the shampoo to my hair it gives me a nice lather. My hair feels really nice while rinsing the product out after application. My hair feels soft after drying but it is a little frizzy (my hair is naturally fizzy anyway though). After using this product for a few weeks I can certainly say that it has helped maintain the colour, which I'm really pleased with.

Fantastic colour protecting shampoo
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this shampoo. My first impression is the product is packaged as it should be it sells it well. When i opened it and smelled it WOW !! It smells amazing it has a kind of fresh zing to it i love it. When i tried the shampoo i found that it went on really well it was smooth and had the just the right amount of lather and felt really nice. It was very easy to rinse off and although the colour of the shampoo is slightly darker i do not think that it left any marks or change round the area i washed no hints of residue . I would denfinatly buy this again and would recommend it

Sweet dreams are made of this!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am absolutely head over heels, completely, utterly, endlessly in love with this product!!
First let's start with the scent (straight from heaven!!!!) it not only lifts my hair but lifts my mood. I'm yet to smell anything as good as this...and at my age I've smelt a lot.
The moisture the product unleashes on my usually limp, lack lustre hair is second to none. Relieving all tangles (ok, too many tangles...I should probably wash more often!!)
I've only 'needed' to wash every 3 days, and could probably push it a little further if I needed.
Overall the product is outstanding!!

Love the Brilliant Brunette shampoo

I like the smell of the shampoo as well, it rinsed out nicely and left my hair feeling nice and smooth. Definitely works best with the conditioner and I would recommend this product to a friend.

Salon perfect hair
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow just WOW, I always struggle to find a shampoo that suits my hair, and I would never have thought to try one specific to the colour of my hair. Lets be honest ladies we all want our hair to look and feel like we've just stepped out the salon don't we? I have never found a shampoo and conditioner that has done this.... Until I tried John Frieda brillaint brunette. It smells devine and I can still smell it this morning! My hair is silky soft and looks like i've just walked out the hairdressers. I have coloured my hair and its bought the colour out so it no longer looks dull. Would I recommend this! 100% YES!

Why did you change the previous formulas?
Like the previous reviewer I used to be an absolute fan of the Brilliant Brunette Chestnut Brown moisturising shampoo, so did my sisters who live abroad and to whom I would always get at least two each when visiting.
But now John Frieda has replaced the two previous 'Browns' (chestnut and cocoa?) with a new formula, which just isn't even close to the old one, which as much as I remember had green tea extracts.
My hair, that used to be amazingly shiny with the previous Chestnut Brown in every wash, now, with the new formula doesn't get any shine or glow... Could you please put back the previous Chestnut Brown?! PLEASE!

The John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Colour Protect Moisturising Shampoo is designed to enhance the your hair colour, but cannot colour the hair itself.
This means the product will not be powerful enough like a hair dye to colour hair.
For hair that is more than 50 percent gray A blonde shade is often a better choice than going dark. As it grows out, your gray hair will blend in with lighter hair, whereas it will stand out against a darker shade.
