Noticed a real difference!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used serums etc in the past and haven't noticed much difference. This one changes all that. Even from day one, my skin felt softer and I remember thinking (for the first time in my life!) that it *actually* looked "dewy" - the word that you often see written on face products..... (or "luminous", as La Roche even more beautifully put it).
This really does do what is advertised - improve the quality and tone of skin, evening out smaller wrinkles etc.
I never normally use a serum, but would definitely consider buying this one when my sample runs out.

This is the first retinol serum I've tried and I'm impressed. I done a patch test just in case before I started using it and I had no reaction to it . I started using it once a week and slowly increased the days . Now I use it 3-4 times a week . I've been using it for almost a month now and I can see difference in the appearance of my skin . I've got more even completion. The wrinkles around my mouth and forehead are less visible too. I like the bottle and the scent of this serum and I'm happy it's working for my skin . I would be permanently adding this serum to my evening routine as I'm very happy with the results so far .

My new shinny skin
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just two weeks after using the product, my skin feels as hydrated and shiny as when I was 17 years old (or better than then, without pimples). I applied every night the product and I woke up with a new soft skin every morning. The product is very easy to apply, like other La Roche's serum. When I started using it I felt a slight burning in the skin that disappeared as the days went by. One night, a little neglected of me, the product contacted the upper eyelid area and the next day I had small pimples; therefore, I recommend strictly following the instructions for use. As for the effect on fine wrinkles, I still don't notice major changes, but they have been only 2 weeks of use. However, the facial skin in general is greatly improved. I'm very happy with the results :)

Was so excited to try this thankyou for the change I have very sensitive skin and it’s the only thing that doesn’t irritate it. This retinol did not upset my skin in the slightest and it has a great peeling effect so not only can you feel it working you can see it working too. I added it in slowly to my routine so am going to keep going to build up my tolerance so I can use it every other day. So far I absolutely love it. Its a Lovely smelling serum. Leaves your face feeling so soft.

Incredible!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recieved this product as part of a trial, I have used this for just over a week now.
In the first 3 days this product was making my skin worse and on the 4th day my skin started to peel and has left me with brand new skin that looks really good. After the 4th day it seemd my skin has got used to the product and is slowly repairing my skin without any irritation. I am happy that I stuck to it and can not believe I keep getting compliments from friends within a week! This is a must have product for anyone that wants to improve there skin.

Not great if you have really sensitive skin!
I have REALLY sensitive skin. I followed the guidelines of how to use the product and only used a pea size amount. Unfortunately my face broke out! Yes this could, in fact be the purging stage that everyone talks about, but my skin felt really sore. Every time I applied moisturiser my skin felt like it was on fire. After I stopped using this, my skin is now a lot happier, no longer feels irritated and the spots have reduced massively. I'm still stuck with scars but I'd rather that than deal with how irritated my skin was. Would recommend this for those with tougher skin. For the price point I would say it's not worth it BUT that's because I didn't have a good result and this definitely may not be the case for other users.

Smooth light fluid
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was suprised by the appearance of this serum as I expected it would be more like a gel/oil but it was a light lemon coloured fluid. On aplication it didn't come out of the applicator easy and the bottle needed shaking well. After it was applied to my skin it aborbed well without the need for rubbing in just a light sweep with the fingertips. it felt light and non-greasy and gave a good coverage without using too much fluid. I've not been using it long enough to notice if there has been any diffirence in my skin, but I'm continuing to use it without any reaction to my very sensitve skin.

Super-gentle, but super-effective!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a fantastic retinol serum. I've tried retinols across the pricing spectrum from high end to budget and this is probably my favourite. The serum that carries the retinol leaves your skin supple and doesn't irritate at all. I'm only into a couple of weeks of using it, so haven't yet realised the full benefits, however my skintone looks smoother and my pores diminished already. I use it at night and when I wake in the morning my skin feels hydrated & soothed. Highly recommend.

It does feel like a smooth oil on application ,but sinks in to matte finish almost immediately ,it’s lovely

Does retinol reduce th appearance of freckles?
It certainly refines the skin. I have freckles which have faded as I have matured but I don't think any cosmetic product are responsible for that. Might be better using a good facial sunscreen to prevent you getting more freckles. However, I think freckles are youthful and lovely!
