My skin is something that
My skin is something that I used to despair of, I have rosacea and the stresses of late nights, early mornings, long commutes etc. started taking their toll... so finding companies and products that are gentle and help me reverse that damage are now my go-to.
This product, like everything I've tried from Pai, is soothing on my reactive skin and goes on lightly, almost like a dry oil finish, and absorbs instantly. Three or four drops overall, last thing before bed on my forehead, nose, cheeks and chin has helped clear my recent unexpected breakouts due to mask wearing and hormonal stress.
It really is a game changer, I highly recommend it!

Skin looks healthy and clean
I don't know why the blurb says this will 'turn clear on application'. Of course it doesn't, because the charcoal particles don't disappear on application, and you wouldn't want them to if they're a key ingredient. It leaves a very faint grey cast, which is fine if applied at night. I've only been using it a couple of weeks (the review request arrives a bit soon, to be honest) and only every other night. No miracles but it is really nice to apply, doesn't irritate my sensitive rosacea skin, and does seem to have a slight purifying effect. I have enlarged pores and I think it reduces their appearance slightly by helping to stop them getting clogged up overnight.

New skin for old
I am 48 years old with rosacea, sensitive skin and now perimenopausal skin - which basically means I get hormonal, obvious spots around my jawline and down onto my neck. This has definitely improved things. I tend to avoid skincare for oily skin and err for dry skin remedies. This looks a bit odd (due to the lovely gloopy black colour), but goes on clear and seems quite understated. But I'm just approaching a cycle and this is where my skin would normally go really haywire - but so far so good - a couple of minor skirmishes, but considerably better than my new normal skin. So thanks Pai - I'm sold! I'll leave another review after a few more weeks if I notice any more improvements.

Black Magic!
I was a bit hesitating as I have tried so many products in the past... And no one seemed to truly solve the problem.
When i was younger I even tried oral and topical antibiotics to heal from acne. Now my skin is combination with signs of ageing and I wanted to try something different. I love this product, so easy to use. Gentle and effective. A little goes a long way. The ingredients are high quality and concentrated, you won't be paying for water and fillers in here! I use it after cleansing and toning. It seems to "seal" the hydrating mist and to heal the breakouts.
Now my spots are almost all gone, my skin looks healthier and... I also love the packaging! Thank you Pai :blush:

This product is a life saver
As someone who had been struggling with acne for some time, and it being at an increase recently, I sort of lost hope for a while but found this. Tbh I was sceptical at first from all the 5 star reviews but tried it out anyways and it’s only been like 2 weeks and my skin hasnt felt this good in ages. I use it every night, and the results consist of my acne decreasing and skin feeling super smooth and tight. Your skin doesnt feel sticky and uncomfortable like other oils do after applying, and cleansing your face the next morning feels so much different, in a good way. Thank you so much Pai

Lovely product, unsure if it's working for me?
I love Pai products. Most recently I've been using the Rosehip Oil which is a favourite but for the past 6/7 months I've been struggling with pretty bad hormonal acne on my jawline and neck. It's insanely persistent and I've gone through many many products, buying into anything that has good reviews to help save my skin. I purchased this product and after application in the evening, the next morning I was impressed that my skin looked fresh and brighter, with some spots reduced, but I have also. gained several new angry and sore spots on my neck and jawline. I'm unsure if this is just hormones picking their moment to wreck havoc on my skin or the product has caused this or, if in my case perhaps I don't have my routine down quite so well.

Surprisingly good!
I was a bit sceptical as I have issues with ageing, combination skin and rich products help on aspect but then I really struggle with congested skin. I have used this for 3 weeks and can really see a difference my skin is clearer, balanced and feeling clear and moisturised. I am pairing with bio regenerate oil in the morning and an eye cream and am really pleased with the results and am back to not wearing any makeup during the day again. Thank you for making a product that clear and moisturises just enough!

Best Face Oil I Have Ever Tried!
I have been using Carbon Star for 2/3 weeks now, and it has honestly changed my life. I have suffered from cystic acne for most of my life, and my skin is incredibly oily. As an oily person I was skeptical of trying Carbon Star at first, as historically face oils break me out or make my cystic acne worse. This is an absolute game changer, after a week of nightly use I have been getting less and less frequent breakouts and when I do they are less painful and heal faster than normal. I have also noticed an improvement in post inflammatory hyperpigmentation once any breakouts clear, which has really helped my confidence too! I have been recommending this oil to anyone who suffers from acne or more breakouts from increased mask wearing, i'm excited to see how my skin continues to improve :)
