What we say Vitamin C was the most googled beauty ingredient of 2017 and with good reason! This treatment from the Ordinary may sound a bit scary, but it effectively evens out and brightens skin tone to reveal a glowing complexion. Apply a small amount in the evening after cleansing; we like to mix ours with moisturiser to save a bit of time.
The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% - a water-free, silicone-free stable suspension.

Vitamin C is an effective antioxidant and its pure form of L-Ascorbic Acid has been shown to reverse multiple signs of skin ageing while brightening the skin when applied topically. This water-free, silicone-free formula provides 23% pure L-Ascorbic Acid which remains completely stable due to the absence of water. The system is supported with addition of dehydrated spheres of Hyaluronic Acid to offer visible surface smoothing alongside the benefits of Vitamin C.

Nut-free, vegan.

Directions

Apply a small amount to face in the AM or the PM. A tingling sensation can be expected after application. If the sensation is too strong to tolerate, the formula can be mixed on each application with other creams or serums of your preference. This treatment is ideally applied at bedtime.

Ascorbic Acid, Squalane, Isodecyl Neopentanoate, Isononyl Isononanoate, Coconut Alkanes, Ethylene/Propylene/Styrene Copolymer, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Glucomannan, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Butylene/Ethylene/Styrene Copolymer, Acrylates/Ethylhexyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Trihydroxystearin, BHT.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from C it to believe it! I've been using this product since March. It brightens the skin immediately and it looks radiant. I use it at bed time and leave it on overnight. It's a strange texture, much like Pericone's Ester, it's powdery and if you put too much on it does lead to pilling on the skin. However, used sparingly it rubs in easily. I use it in conjunction with other Ordinary products and continue to see improvements in my skin. Highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Weird and wonderful What a great product! Strange texture that feels like a face scrub when applied, but apply lightly without rubbing, leave it for a few minutes and it has completely absorbed, leaving a plumped moisturised face. I use this at night and wake up the next day with visible results, even when used alone. Will definitely purchase again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from In love! I've been using this at night after the Alpha Arbutin serum, and I can already see my dark spots fading after only 2 weeks! I have marks from old acne spots that are now almost invisible. Maybe it's the combination of the 2 products but this has definitely evened out my skintone. It stings a little so don't apply too much. I find that if there's too much product left on the creases of my nose it stings quite a lot so I just apply a thin layer avoiding corners of my nose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fab overnight product! I love this product! it's very hydrating. It does say it may sting on application - and yes it does! but in a tingly way rather than sore. Great product! Great price!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great when used alone The product is effective, I like the results. But definitely for PM use not AM. Even if their own recommendations for product matching says that it can be used as 4th phase, after other products, it can not, it makes everything else you used before go in lumps. I tried to use it after Buffet, not possible. So use it alone, and you will wake up with a nice glowie skin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vit c 23% with ha Smooth clear skin in the morning when used as a night mask works wonders for the back of the hands too only been using a week and can feel a huge improvement in the clarity and subtleness of my skin

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glow When I read the slightly mixed reviews on this I wasn't sure if I would get on with it but I absolutely love it. It makes your skin glow! I have oily acne prone skin and it doesn't make me break out either. It is grainy in texture so I'd recommend only using at night and if your pillowcase goes a bit orange, don't panic! It comes out very easily even on a cold wash. Just to warn you also it may tingle/burn somewhat, particularly when just starting out. This is normal. If it is tolerable then know it will calm down as you get used to the product. If not, try using less product, you don't need much, or even mixing with something else. If using with other serums etc let everything soak in as it can pile.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unpleasant I thought this was a good basic brand, recommended in a Sunday supplement by their beauty editor, so I gave it a go. Because of the design of the bottle I found it almost impossible to extract the recommended “small” amount, resulting in a lot of waste. The product felt unpleasantly gritty on my face and left a residue of white “bits” which have to be wiped off before I can continue with my skincare routine. I reserve judgement on the brightening effect of the product as I have only been using it for a couple of days, but I won’t be buying it again.

Hi!  Can I use this cream and niacinamide serum in the evenings one after the other? Or should I use one in the eve and one in the morn? They both suggest nighttime use!

Asked by: Anonymous
Hi there, Thanks for reaching out to us. The brand advises not to use these two products one after the other, but you can use one in the AM and one in the PM. I would recommend using the The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% in the AM and the The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% in the PM before your moisturiser/night oil. I hope this helps! Thanks, Chloe - Beauty Expert

Is the Ordinary bit C serum suitable for coloured skin. Like Asian-Indian skin?

Asked by: Anonymous
Hi there, Thanks for reaching out to us. This product can be used on skin of any colour, ethnicity or race - it's not so much for lightening the skin colour, it's more for brightening the skin and providing radiance to dull skin. It also helps with lightening pigmentation marks, freckles and sun/age spots. I hope this helps! Thanks, Chloe - Beauty Expert
