Expensive for what it is
I wanted to be wowed by this given the reviews but my hair doesn't look any better having used it. I've got long, dry, curly hair that goes in ringlets. Wow products for me are curl enhancer, daily repair, hydrating lotion, eye cream and scalp remedy

Noticeable difference
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried a sample, so the review is based on one off use. Unfortunately there were not any instructions with the sample so I left it on for a few minutes only. Even so, I noticed a difference in my hair. I have shiny hair but frizzy ends. My hair is long. The ends looked better and my hair felt thicker and was swishy. My hair didn't get so greasy as quick as it usually does. I did use the sample alongside a well known brand of leave in conditioner so whether they just worked well together or it was Aveda that made the difference I'll have to find out. I will be buying this product!

I would purchase this product again
I had been suffering with chemically damaged hair from bleach and dyes, and my hair was becoming extremely frail and beginning to break . The Botanical Repair Masque has completely transformed and saved my hair from the inside out, and is now my favourite haircare product! My breakage days are certainly behind me.

The best hair mask i have ever used on my curls
My 2b/2c curls are recovering from a short fling with a hair straightening iron. This masque transformed it after one use. I leave it for a bit longer than recommended 3 to 5mins as that's what my hairdresser did at the local Aveda salon when I first tried it. My hair is softer, curls are more bouncy and the curl pattern looks a lot healthier. The effects are pretty incredible. I was surprised to notice the results immediately, after the first use. I started calling it 'poor man keratine treatment' as it's probably the closest to how my hair felt and looked like after I had a treatment done once. My hair is super dry so this 'rich' version suits it, but I understand that it may not work for everyone. It's definitely worth trying if you have dry hair like me. Aveda products are usually hit and miss for me and for example, the Be Curly range just doesn't work at all but this one does the trick.

A hair saver!
The mask is very thick so I use it once a week only on my lengths and keep it on for around 20 minutes. I have wavy dry frizzy hair and this is literally saving it, leaving a smooth feel even on the ends! I can't be happier about it.

Masque

This masque is my desert island must have
I bought the mini to try with the shampoo and conditioner and WOW it's the first masque that didn't leave me feeling heavy, oily and like I'd left a patch at the back of my head. Even my husband said my hair looked really shiny so big thumbs up from me. I can't stop touching my hair after using it. If I somehow end up stranded on an island, please let this survive with me!
