Faulty batch?
I wear contact lenses and have worn this mascara for years successfully, it lasts all day and doesn't irritate my eyes, even travelling in Asia. However, with my last one, the mascara stayed on a maximum of two hours. Every time I went to the mirror I was horrified to notice that I had just been in a work meeting with terrible panda eyes. By the end of the working day, I had nothing left on. It was worse than a normal non-waterproof version. Not impressed, especially at this price!

The Brush is different.
I have been using High Impact mascara since my 18 years old, I am 30 now and still using it my favourite mascara ever. I think High impact mascara has the perfect combination between product and brush. I decided to give a go to the waterproof option but... such a pity for me, the brush is not the same, the effect on lashes is not as good as with high impact. If I was Clinique I would definitely change the brush of the waterproof version in order to have the best waterproof mascara as it is High Impact mascara.

try-out of a new product
Needs to be at room temperature to maximise eyelashes. If too cold it hardly blackens them. Attractive effect on the lashes, not too 'building'so not a 'false' look. Didn't keep its promise not to flake. Was really good for about 8 hrs then flakes falling into my eyes and irritating them. My day is 7am to 11pm at least - so sadly I will not buy again.

Not as good as Lash Power
I usually buy Lash Power and purchased this one by mistake. It clogs when I put it on, the brush is too big. Bits of the mascara start coming off after half a day and are getting into my eyes.

Stays waterproof whatever
I went into the store to buy this (so didn't get it online) and it works perfectly! It has the brush it shows on the photo and stays waterproof even whilst swimming. I use this most days and it doesn't affect my skin or anything like that and I don't worry about it smudging in the day.

Best Waterproof Mascara Ever
Have worn this mascara for swimming, surfing, and almost all water sports and it truly stays put in the toughest of conditions with very minimal flaking and almost no smudging! People are always amazed that it stays put. This is my go to waterproof mascara!

Very disappointed
I feel like this was a total waste of money, which upsets me as it was quite pricey. I usually use the naturally glossy mascara, but began using the high impact mascara which came with a free gift. I loved them both but thought I would try something waterproof as both tend to sting my eyes if my eyes become watery for any reason. Laughing too much or actually crying :) However the waterproof high impact mascara came with problems of its own. Way too thick, extremely clumpy and flaky and dry. I have tried to use it as much as I can as I can;t bear the idea of wasting money, but eventually I gave up. It is also a real pain to get off even with Clinique's own make-up remover, which comes in at £17.00. I will definitely not be repurchasing.

AWFUL!
Dont normally write reviews but I bought this mascara when my normal Lash Power (tried, tested and loved) appeared to be discontinued. Wished I had not purchased, as this smudges really badly in normal wear, hardly waterproof......whatever you do girls dont cry........and so embarrassing after business meetings and dates etc when you realise you have had panda eyes and its not cheap. Would not recommend at all...................wasted my money as it is now hitting the bin. The one star is because I couldnt give zero..........vey unhappy customer
